Semantic web helper
No article id was provided. Install the Newspaper mtags bookmarklet!
About this...
This is just a simple helper script that generates machine tags from an article on the National Library of Australia's Australian Newspapers site. Just drag this Newspaper mtags bookmarklet to your bookmarks toolbar, find an article, then click on the bookmarklet. This page will open with easy-to-use, hand-crafted machine tags ready to do your bidding.
The machine tags will enable you to assert a semantic relationship between the item that you tag and the newspaper article. Say you were tagging an item in a museum catalogue:
- foaf:page would say that the newspaper article is about the museum item
- foaf:isPrimaryTopicOf makes the stronger claim that the newspaper article is mostly about the museum item
- foaf:depiction says that the newspaper article includes a photo of the museum item
But what if you find a photo on Flickr that shows an event described in a newspaper article?
- a foaf:depicts tag on the Flickr image would say just that
The second tag in each pair defines the namespace that you're using – in this case foaf.
If there are other relationships I should include, let me know (@wragge on Twitter).
